I received a message from coinbase saying somebody changed my 2 step verification code has this ever happened to any of you and how should I handle it
sounds like a red flag. I just had 65,000 of crypto stolen by a hacker. The sim swaped and got my code? I am still investigating how it happened and working with law enforcement
Hi William, Coinbase made a statement on this. See article https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/30/coinbase-sent-erroneous-account-security-notifications-to-125000-customers.html
It appears it was an error. This is why it is important to have third-party authentication apps enabled at all times like Google Authenticator and use cold storage wallets.

thanks I actually watched the trezor video instead and bought 2 trezors 8 months ago set the seed numbers the max amount. I tested it out and put a tiny amount on it. but I started to wonder what if it got wet or smashed or just manfuctioned. Would I lose all my crypto? I keep my cyrpto on coinbase and of course it was stolen.
