Any thoughts around liquidation of IRA’s at this point in time (March 2021)?

I know we can’t give financial advise, but hoping to get thoughts around the reason to keep vs reason to liquidate. What would you do? Frankly, I want to liquidate and pay the penalties and taxes and then be able to be my own broker. Thoughts?

Not financial advice, but I did exactly that last year. Well worth it! My reasons were to be my own broker. Wish you the best is executing your decision. Making the decision is 90% of the work.

My goal exactly. I hate that it took me so long to wake up but once I actually took the time to dig in and learn something new...seems like the right thing to do for my situation. My financial advisor is ticked and even though the penalty and fees are a hit, having total control on what, when, and how much I can invest or move or use is going to be worth it. IMO
