Who are those people dead or alive that inspire you everyday to be better?
-Benjamin Franklin, for foresight.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither. He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security.
Thomas Jefferson, for character-
"...I advise the gun. While this gives a moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprize, and independance to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks."
-and courage-
I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.
-and foresight-
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
A world free of violence could exist without weapons, unfortunatly our society promotes violence, greed, and indifference; therefore we must arm ourselves to protect what we hold dear, however, the greatest weapon against violence and ignorance, is knowledge.
