I've noticed a progressive drop in standards on Drudge Report for a very long time now, but drastically so in recent months -- sensationalist headlines linking to mainstream news sites, completely devoid of context. This is on top of their unhealthily selective circle-jerking links collection that still dominates the site (still wondering why AMTV has never been included as a link there, perhaps the truth hurts too much).

Anyway, Drudge Report has stagnated to the point where I barely check it now (unless AMTV refers me to an article linked from there). As of posting this right now, Drudge Report ( http://drudgereport.com/ ) has an image of marching Russian service women with the headline 'Putin Power on Parade', seemingly implying that Russia is putting on an unusual display of power. But they're conveniently forgetting the fact that Russia holds a Victory Parade every March 9, to commemorate the defeat of Nazi Germany in WII, and the parade is nothing out of the ordinary. Okay, so there are some 'new' weapons on display, but this happens at the parade every year for pete's sake.

I remember a time when Matt Drudge and co gave links to genuinely interesting non-mainstream news. Now it seems that they've become the very thing that they were supposedly against. Honestly, it's turned into a steaming pile of mainstream circle-jerking pooh.

I'm not the only one to have noticed this. Watch this video from 'RichieFromBoston', who has similar criticisms to the ones I gave above:

Sad to see the demise of a site that was once a source of genuinely 'alternative' news.

I haven't followed Drudge very much unless I was directed there from someone else. I do know the CIA is working through infowars and possibly drudge to disseminate information that they want to get out to the public. Steve Pzcienak has stated as such already. Who knows about the quality of the information. I find it harder and harder to trust anything I read unless I know the source. Too many false flags, and misinformation is being put out there and the media including the alt media is being used to get it out to the general public.

Indeed, the big elite-controlled tech firms aren't even bothering to be subtle about it anymore. It's not so much censorship as outright purging of information now. Alphabet company are systematically targeting influential channels on Youtube that go against the status quo.
