The new 5 g is supposed to be much worse.
Although its difficult to live without our wifi and cell phones. I shut the wifi off when I am not using it as well as my cell phone at night and my iPad when I am not using it. This would be a good practise to get into.
Use speaker phone when ever possible and try to become less addicted to the phones, Facebook and Twitter. Give yourself time outs away from it deliberately. We need to break these cycles of addiction every bit as a drug addiction.

Yeah, I heard Steve Jobs died a coward. But congrats kawartha, you've given great advice. I'd throw the damn Internet out if I didn't use it for banking. This new world order is brought to us by the Pied Piper and any idiot who follows this thing and think it's some kind of useful utility should have grown up in another century, where people had to rely on each other and creativity. Necessity is the mother of invention. All this thing does is mind control the masses, along with the TV and phones. All the programs and apps are taking our natural selves out of the natural. Putting us in a virtual mind control machine which will kill us all in the end. I'd invite everyone to take a day off the Internet and see if you can stand it. If you can't - you don't have a life. Get a life is all I can say. From an someone who cares about the upcoming generation of kids who are going to have to deal with a lawless, mindless crazy ass government and society. You know there's something wrong with the world when school kids are told that learning coding is more important than learning how to grow their own food.
The school system is a mess in Canada, and we are supposedly praised for our system, so I'd hate to see what anything under our system is.

Cobro -- The UK Education system is absolutely atrocious. The teaching standards are appalling and children are brainwashed to behave like politically correct worker drones. We have no standards here anymore. Compared to rival nations like China, we are weak in core subjects like Mathematics and Science. Even in subjects like English(!) we are now a laughing stock. We don't value important subjects like History, Philosophy or Economics. Kids here don't learn anything about anything.
Good teachers do exist, but they are unable to operate effectively due to constraints placed upon them by the system. Schools here seem to think that throwing iPads at kids is the solution to everything. Kids don't actually learn anything, they aren't taught how to think critically, or encouraged to become self reliant.
At University level, things are even worse. The University system is little more than a money-making business cartel. It's all about league table rankings, bums on seats, raising fees and PR. Graduates are racking up mountains of debt and struggling to find meaningful work, but the government doesn't care.
