Right I know it's easy to boycott the big world enterprises like Starbucks and Amazon etc. is there a way to by babk differently to what we are use to
Tough one lill. I know some are moving to bitcoin, gold, silver and precious metals. I've even asked my employer to see if they can get on board with paying the employees in a precious metal based system, but to no avail. I think one thing we should understand, it's not money in any form that's the problem..... it's greed.
I use my Credit Union at work. They are non profit and great if You need a Low interest Loan (very low). When You pay back, some of the money still goes in Your savings.
Obviously my salary goes into the bank, no getting round that, but It's a basic no frills account, even though they are always at me to get this card and that card. I use the bank, rather than they use me, but yes credit unions are the way forward.
Very difficult question to answer, but as a general rule I would say always opt for diversification of your capital and assets. It's better to have a few eggs in several baskets, rather than all of your eggs in one basket.
Cheers fellow undergrounders😁. It was after the last live show , that Christopher mentioned the fact that if you use these facilities then you are helping these big monopolys . He mentioned the fact of if you use the bank then you are supporting them too . It just made me think more on how I could go about not using them and realised that is not a easy task. It would be amazing to be paid in gold and silver but can't see my place of work doing this. Thanks for the replys I appreciate your views and tips 😁
The money is the hardest to get rid of. About 7 years ago, i guess we will say that's when I was abruptly awakened, I realized that pretty much everything is toxic. (I realized this because I wanted to feed my child healthy food, and I actually couldn't find anything that wasn't laced with garbage) so I went out and started picking my own berries, mushrooms, apples etc. And made my own baby food.
The point is, I started there. Soon after, I quit fast food ( because I want to lead my children by example, not conquest) , I started making my own dish soap, I buy only Eco friendly detergents, stopped watching movies ( because I think Hollywood is truly sickening)
Now I'm to the point where if there is a product that has carcinogens in it, I ban it, and I ban the company that makes it and move on to another company. I've basically banned everything. When it comes to food, we don't do processed, except for yogurt which is organic, and cheese. I've got and indoor aquaponics garden that measures 10x8 foot and 4 8x4 foot raised gardens outside. So you can see right there how much money I'm actually not spending on groceries. The initial cost for the lights and the materials to make all my gardens cost about 2k, and I've definitely made that back over the course of the last few years with fresh organic vegetables. (Kale which I actually grow right through the winter.)
Like Chris says, money isn't backed by gold anymore, so it's only based on the fact that people get up and go to work everyday. Try making as many little changes as possible.
I must say a big respect go's out to you for doing this. I would say i'v only just been a awoken so this is relatively new to me . What were your first steps in doing all of this as I'm very intrested in doing the same. Surely this was a hard endeavour for you to break through this system that we have been brought into?
It started with me being just absolutely disgusted when I found out for myself that all these big words you can't pronounce on ingredient labels turned out to be all just poison and drugs. It took a long time to research the chemicals, one by one, and cross referencing each one a few times to make sure, and then finding out what they do to us as humans. After that, it was actually pretty easy to give everything up cause I was so mad at these companies and the government For allowing that to happen.
i would suggest to start an outdoor garden, first and foremost, and get used to growing vegetables and fruits. ( and talk about it a lot, it's easy to do and believe it or not, gardening is contagious) since I started my gardens, my neighbours on both sides of me have installed them as well. Then if you have the money to get a few lights for growing, they are relatively cheap. I went with aquaponics because it's a mix between aquaculture and hydroponics. The good thing about aquaponics is its a closed sustainable system, meaning all you need is the initial start up cost and after that, all you should spend money on after that is seed varieties, which you won't need to buy after a few years because you will learn to harvest your seeds. If you look up aquaponics, it may seem difficult, it's really not. Start a fish tank , add the fish, let them sit in the fish tank for about a month , and then that fish tank water is basically used to feed your growing plants. You will need to know a few things about crude construction, but it's easy, really.
Get rid of all your cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, shampoos, soaps, bounce sheets, All of them! They are poison..... all of them. Bare minimum, vinegar and water is a great cleaner. And find a good body soap and hand soap. "Live clean " is a brand that seems to be very good, but slightly expensive. I even gave up using deodorant, I use fresh lime juice instead. The acid in the lime may be sensitive to some. It's a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, so it doesn't get rid of the sweating. ( I think anything that suppresses sweat probably isn't good anyways. Deodorant contains a form of aluminum, that you then rub right by your lympnodes....everyday..... and we wonder why we get weird diseases.)
It sounds like a lot, and I'm still not done, I'm constantly educating myself on new chemicals, and what they do and how persistent they are in the environment. My next move is to start moving off the grid, so in my 10 year plan (if we have 10 years left) I want a windmill and solar panels hard wired in my house and an old school wood stove. I have a pretty massive storage of carbs, and in the last year I've started pickling beets, cucumbers etc. And bottling them.
Just do things step by step. cant do everything overnight.
I'm doing the same, choosing and using carefully as I go on. I use fluoride free toothpaste, and boil bottled spring water for my herbal tea. Here in the UK, fluoride is only an issue in the Birmingham area I believe, and the water in my area is free of it (but i still don't drink it out of the tap). Got to make sure You get the right plastic bottles and only use them once.
Yes john, that's awesome! fluoride is not something you want to ingest. It's been proven by some sources that ingesting it does nothing good for your teeth and bones. And one study I read awhile back states that ingesting 8 cups of fluoridated water a day, at 0.4 ppm can decrease your I .Q. by 20 points. That's basically putting a genius in the avg. category and and avg. person into the underavergae category. Pretty significant.
I know a new chemical they are putting in the water here is chloromine. (Ammonium and chlorine) Already we know it causes ibs. You might wanna check to see if they are adding that chemical. I don't drink tap water. There's natural spring water taps they have set up here that you can get water from . And I've sourced a great water , it's a Canadian company called "true north" its very clean tasting crisp water. I like it a lot.
